DIFFERENT IS GOOD!

Putting this out there, Many of us feel the need to stifle who we are to meet a general opinion of how we are supposed to be. We should not have to conform to the general world standard because being different is good. Its what makes you unique from everyone else. It is who we are inside behind the mask of smiles and layers of makeup and its who we need to be without any fear or doubt. If people can’t accept who you really are, then those are not the people you need around you. Stick to who you are, your standards, values and morals. Set the bar high for yourself and don’t drop this standard for just anyone.

Here are a few quotes from some inspiring people that caught my eye:

“Don’t dare to be different, dare to be yourself – if that doesn’t make you different then something is wrong.”

– Laura Baker.

“Do not be afraid to color outside the lines. Take risks and do not be afraid to fail. Know that when the world knocks you down, the best revenge is to get up and continue forging ahead.Do not be afraid to be different or to stand up for what’s right. Never quiet your voice to make someone else feel comfortable. No one remembers the person that fits in. It’s the one who stands out that people will not be able to forget.”
Nancy Arroyo Ruffin, Letters to My Daughter: A Collection of Short Stories and Poems about Love, Pride, and Identity

God didn’t make us to come out here in this world and be in the crowd, we are made to stand out and accept that we can make a difference because we are different. Never forget this! There is a plan and higher purpose. God-willing we will achieve it.
