The life of Abraham is an amazement to me. One morning God spoke to him saying, “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land I will show thee.”(Genesis 11:1). In verse four, he packs all his belongings and departs his home land with his wife and his nephew, Lot to this unknown land. He keeps moving passing through many countries until he gets to that land, my fascination is with the fact that he travels with that unwavering faith that he is going in the right direction. I imagine him moving firstly with no aim and God saying turn left, turn right and with his complete trust moving in that direction till God says otherwise. Amazing!

” Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.”Proverbs 3:5-6 (The message translation).

This is the kind of trust we should have in God because he knows where our final destination is we just like Abraham may have no idea but our God does. Don’t be afraid or dismayed if you haven’t found your purpose or what you want to do with your life because God will surely direct your path if you can only trust him completely.

Let’s take pilots into consideration. They only know their final destination but not what path to take to get there. They don’t have rear view or even side mirrors and have only the front view perspective but the control tower oversees the weather and foresees a pathway for the pilot to take. God is our control tower and we are only the pilot of our lives so let’s get behind that wheel and rely on his gentle guidance to our final destination. Everything happens for a reason, one day you’ll finally look back and see the link then you’d really be amazed.

“I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”  Jeremiah 29:11 (The message translation).

His love for you is unwavering. We all have that situation that may try to ruin our day but remember this and keep holding on because your smile will always make someone forget their troubles and smile too, it’s contagious!
